Good, as far as Roy Rogers Westerns go. Rogers (and Gabby Hayes!) pair up with a mine owner to get the big guns in town to pour investment money into it. A gangster hears of this plan, and devises a scheme to kidnap em all and make it look like the Sons Of The Pioneers did it! It takes Rogers, and maybe a few songs, to resolve everything. Best part: Rogers and pals are tied up and the best way they see to resolve this is to roll down to the river, 1/4 of a mile away! Couldnt they turn around and untie each other?

I really like Roy Rogers films. He is the thinking man's cowboy. Instead of shooting everything in sight, he outthinks the bad guys. It's like a mystery and a cowboy flick in one. I remember meeting him in person several times when I was a young fellow and again when I was much older, and he was the same as he was on screen, a genuinely nice guy. I think that's what makes him stand out from the rest.

Not the greatest western made, but music is very pleasant. Roy Rogers and Sons of the Pioneers in their prime here.

You already know this one. Roy Rogers, Gabby Hayes, singing cowboys, white hats and black hats. If you like Roy singing a lot then you will like this, he sings every few minutes. The best thing, besides Gabby, is that the world's worst jitterbug dancers are in this one. Boy do they stink. If you are diabetic don't watch this movie. It's so corny sweet my teeth rotted out half way through. Two stars just for Gabby.
